About our workers...

Some of you may have seen us exhibiting at numerous fine arts and crafts festivals over the last 16 years. We wanted to pay a little tribute to our hardest workers. It was January, 1986 when I returned home with my new adoptees from the local Humane Society that would change my life. Forced out of a 10 year career as a stockbroker by a chronic illness, it seemed a perfect time to bring home two new family members. The bonding and devotion that followed coupled with a need to stay home from poor health afforded the perfect environment and opportunity for K-9 Kool Hats to take form. The idea, research and creation took place and those pictured here paved the way to this ongoing, ten year success story.

Well known for their professional behavior and extraordinary appeal at the arts and crafts shows... I wanted to honor and memorialize the love, work, and dedication of Beater, Benjaman and Stroze.

Positioned comfortably a top a five foot long cushioned table inside our exhibitors booth, their personalities flourished in their work environment. In the ten years and hundreds of shows that they participated in, they left little doubt to their understanding of the "modeling" work. What was clearly displayed was their natural happiness from a wonderful life and devoted father. Their calm and professional manner while on the job was a wonderful testament to the quality of our years as a 'pack' together. They somehow knew that this wasn't just about selling a great hat...but it was a display of what is possible when an extreme bonding takes place between animal and their human connection.

They are missed to a degree that only that one surviving pack-leader, can know.

1) Beater (Boston Terrier), our first hatted dog, complimented his ball catching skills with his sports oriented print.

2) Benjaman (Boston Terrier), who lost an eye at age seven without slowing down; donned his appropriate, well worn, camouflage print hat.

3) Astro - and who can forget our top-sales dog, Astro, who strolled the aisles of the shows proudly prancing along wearing his perfect fitting red cowboy hat.

We now have new adoptees and family members happily employed in the great tradition set forth by my founding pack. I hope we meet you at one of our many shows.
